As a fast-growing startup, Linkberry needed to solve a common pain point: event organizers and attendees struggled to create meaningful professional connections. Whether it was finding the right people to meet in a crowded room or ensuring conversations aligned with shared goals, navigating networking opportunities often felt overwhelming.
This feedback underscored the importance of designing an intuitive, AI-powered feature that could help a young product stand out—streamlining match-making, creating valuable interactions, and driving engagement at events.
How might we improve the networking experience at events, making it easier for attendees to connect with the right people and build relationships that matter?
The goal of Linkberry is to make networking at events effortless and impactful. Whether it’s helping attendees connect with people who share their goals or enabling organizers to boost engagement, the platform aims to be a seamless, user-friendly space for building meaningful professional relationships. As Lead UX and Visual Designer, I worked closely with the founder to shape the product vision, conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and guiding junior designers. We collaborated across design, marketing, and product strategy to deliver an intuitive experience that helps users find—and make—the right connections.
Our research revealed that a large portion of event attendees and organizers struggled to identify and connect with the right people—leading to missed opportunities and lower engagement. To address this, we developed an AI-powered networking solution for Linkberry that included:
Smart attendee matching based on professional goals, interests, and event context.
Easy-to-use search and filters for roles, industries, and discussion topics.
A consistent, intuitive interface built with reusable UI components for faster iteration.
Personalized connection recommendations powered by user data and in-event activity.
Integrated scheduling tools to arrange meetups and follow-ups effortlessly.
By incorporating these features, Linkberry transformed the networking experience—helping users quickly find valuable connections while enabling organizers to plan more engaging, successful events.
