As Lead UI and Product Designer, I was responsible for transforming Alliance Labs’ complex, technical service offerings into a streamlined digital experience. My role included structuring the information architecture, designing a clear visual hierarchy, and ensuring the landing page communicated both the scale of the national network and the accessibility of local service.
Through research and stakeholder conversations, I uncovered a consistent pain point among Alliance Labs’ clients—environmental managers, compliance officers, and industrial partners struggled to navigate laboratory services. The complexity of determining which tests were required, finding the right facilities, and trusting that results would be accurate and delivered on time often created unnecessary friction.
This insight defined the core design challenge:
How might we simplify the experience of accessing Alliance’s national lab network while maintaining a sense of trust, scale, and reliability?
My role as lead UI and product designer was to translate this challenge into a clear, intuitive landing experience. The goal was to highlight the breadth of services while guiding users to the right solutions quickly—building confidence in Alliance Labs as both a national leader and a responsive local partner.
Our goal was to design a landing page that simplified Alliance Labs’ complex service offerings while showcasing the scale of its national network. By balancing technical detail with intuitive navigation, we created a platform that reinforced Alliance Labs’ role as both a reliable local partner and a national leader in laboratory testing.
To address the challenge of presenting Alliance Labs’ extensive and technical services in a way that felt accessible, we mapped the client journey of environmental managers, compliance officers, and industrial partners. Insights revealed friction points—like difficulty navigating service categories and uncertainty around required tests. Using these findings, we designed a streamlined landing page with clear information hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and a visual system that reinforced trust and credibility.
Results: The redesign made it faster and easier for clients to find services, reducing friction and increasing confidence. The page drove a projected 25–30% lift in service inquiries and cut down clarification requests from clients, strengthening Alliance Labs’ position as both a dependable local partner and a trusted national leader.
