A little insight into what makes me tick
Hello!
I am an interactive designer based in NYC with over 10 years of professional agency experience in web design and development. I've got a lust for typography, layout, branding and illustrating and a serious thing for vector. As a hobby, I design, build and etch guitar effects pedals. Read on or download.

Recommendations
Matt is one of the best art directors I've worked with. His unique ability to combine his creative and organizational talents ensured that all projects he and his direct reports managed were submitted on time and according to spec.
As an Account Manager, much of my job entails tracking down team members for assets. Matt didn't need to reminders of upcoming due dates – he in fact often delivered ahead of time, in spite of his heavy workload.
In addition, Matt's calm, professional demeanor made him a pleasure to work with and he was well liked by all. Needless to say, he certainly helped make my job easier. The team was always extremely satisfied with his creative direction as well – he's clearly quite talented.
Matt comes with my highest recommendation and would make an excellent addition to any innovative, forward thinking creative team.
Matt is a highly talented and motivated designer. I contact him immediately when I have a project that requires flash animation. I can always count on him to provide me with the most fluid and natural flash animation of the highest quality. He is a great asset for any company and a pleasure to work with.
Matt is an excellent art director who managed a huge workload with efficiency and good humor. I was always impressed by his appreciation of copy's place in a feature or email. When I sent him copy, he seemed to instinctively know what I was aiming for, and produced results that were as visual dynamic as they were promotionally effective.
I have thumbed through hundreds (& hundreds) of portfolios since working at Siegel & Gale, yet I can still remember the excitement in finding Matt's portfolio online. It was so unique that we did all we could (successfully!) to lure Matt from Rochester to NYC. I highly recommend Matt for any creative role and I hope to work with him again in the future!
Matt is an outstanding designer with a great eye for detail. He's thorough and creative in every project that he tackles.
Matt is a talented and hard-working designer/art director. I had the pleasure of working with him from 2006-2008, and he was a consistently strong and diligent member of my team. In addition to this, he has an easy-going, no-drama manner that is a refreshing asset to any creative department.
Matt rocks in every sense of the word. He's just as talented and multi-dextrous sitting at his desk jamming on carefully crafted riffs of code and design as he is on stage slinging a six string. Matt understands that design and functionality along with successful ROI all lead to a perfect melody--one that's pleasing to clients and creatives. I highly recommend Matt and hope to one day jam at work with him again.
I worked with Matt on a wide array of projects across a number of the businesses within Direct Brands. No matter how many changes in direction, timing, and versions we made, Matt never missed a beat. He offered unique and original creatives and was able to take our abstract thoughts - and doodles - and turn them into polished pieces. I know without a doubt that we tapped into only a fraction of what Matt is capable of. When I put together a group of people from marketing, creative, copy, and IT to brainstorm about new ideas, Matt consistently fueled discussions and brought to our attention exciting things that other companies and sites were doing.
Matt doesn't just reside within the creative bubble. He is able to understand how marketing wants to express something even when the ideas are loose. My only regret is that the w orkflow and culture did not allow us to work in reverse with people like Matt bringing their ideas to marketing more.
Matt is a talented artist and designer, but also understands how those areas work within the overall business of a company. I hope to find a way to work with Matt again in the future
Matt's a top notch designer, especially skilled in vector graphics, page layout design and multimedia. Unlike most designers, he can also hard code front-end display languages like HTML. Matt's good at explaining concepts and giving concise how-to's on programs and design technique.
